Let’s say your spouse decides to cook you an extra special meal. It’s your favorite. It takes him/her a lot of work. You enjoy the meal and naturally offer to do the cleaning up by yourself.

ever occured to you that its not the cooking she enjoys doing,it's the fact that she's cooking for you.Thus the same should be said for you not actually enjoying the clearing up (who does enjoy that after all?)but the fact that you're doing it for her.x
